Sophia's New COLOR

Usually when I do Sophia's color, we just do a root touch up, and make her SUPER blonde! But this time she was feeling a little friskyyyy - so we added some TEAL!

NOW, not only does she have a little more color in her locks, but she looks like a super hotttt little sex kitten! MEOWW! ;))

MY GIRL, Noelle Elizabeth!

I had this great idea of my next photo shoot being a "glam rock" type of shot. So I asked my friend if he knew of any super hott tattooed chicks that would want to model for me! And this is who he lead me to... Noelle! She's been modeling for a while now, you might have seen her on SuperCULT. WooP!

..And she was fabulous!

The PERFECT Purple

I love doing creative color. It's defiantly one of my favorite things to do, mostly because the model/client typically lets you go to town with it!

Creative Shots done with CHARLOTTE & Oribe

We had lots of fun with this one.. It was defiantly one of our more creative photo shoots! Everything from her color to the random Oribe products placed in her hair. There was a little inspiration coming from lots of places, one including Lady Gaga's coke can hair do! ;)

We did a couple shots with Charlotte because she has a short funky hair cut & color so there was just so much we could do with it. I got to have fun coloring her hair, cause she gave me NO limitations! LOVE HER! ;)

Another photo shoot, BETH!

Heres another photo shoot I did with Kara Hurston!

I did a partial highlight on Beth, with some pieces underneath being a little more drastic. Kara styled her with these beautiful curls and we shot down at the M ST Park in Southie! Thanks to our fab photographer Kyle! Check out his website: http://www.kyleholmquist.showitsite.com/#/book-2/

PYARA, AVEDA Harvard Sq.

Now I'm working at Pyara Salon in Harvard Square, Cambridge! I absolutely LOVE it.

So come see me and get your hair done!!

I'M GONNA MISS ORIBE!

The only thing I'm gonna miss, not working at Shag, is ORIBE!

HE IS THE MAN!

ORIBE Backstage, Las Vegas 2010

Me and a few of my co-workers went to Las Vegas this year to partake in 'Oribe Backstage Las Vegas'.

It was the most amazing time I've ever had.

Here are some pictures to prove it! ;)

Linda Evangelista Competition, Oribe.

This was one of the most FUN competitions I've done. We got to work with Tom Gallegher, of Oribe. We had to reproduce the Vouge Italia June 1990 cover of Linda Evangelista, hair done by Oribe.

This was an all day event, and we got to work hands on with one of the educators from Oribe. We had photos taken and submitted to the professional Oribe.pro website. Unfortunately, I did not win, but it was still SUPERR FUN!

When I worked at Shag...

I worked at Shag in South Boston for about two and a half years, and thats where I really got my inspiration to start doing photo shoots. My boss was really into photography and pushed everyone to do a shoot every now and then. I'm really glad he got me into it because I actually found it was one of my MANY hidden talents! ;) It's something thats different from cutting and coloring hair every single day, you can actually step out of the box and really be creative.

This was one of my firsts shoots! and it was so FUN. I lightened the models hair to a verrry light blonde and toned her to the perfect cool, white color! Then Kara styled her hair to these AMAZING finger waves, which I haven't seen done in so long. It was a blast from the past for sure. We originally wanted this to be a strong Edie Sedgwick shot, but we ended up with this! Can't really complain! Thats for sure :))

We ended up using this shot for a Shag ad that was published in StuffBoston. ...Pretty Exciting!

HAIRZZ

So I wanted to start a blog on my one and only true fascination in life! HAIR. When I wake up in the morning, I think about MY hair. When I'm going through my day at work, I'm doing other peoples hair. And when I get home at night, I think about the next level I want to accomplish with hair! Its what my world revolves around, and what keeps me going, and the one thing in life that I'll always love.

Instead of just working 8 hours a day at a salon, I'm always thinking of how I want to make my job a little more interesting and inspiring. That's why I'm always up to date on the new styles and fashion of today. Doing photo shoots from time to time really motivates me to "push the envelope". << that'll be the last time I use that expression. ;))

SO ENJOY! and feel free to comment, suggest, or MODEL for me!!

xoxo
